Doula- Birth Support

I support you during birth and in the postpartum period as a doula.

I deeply believe that a woman is capable of giving birth from her own strength –
that her body knows what to do.

It is often the small, subtle things, the details, the atmosphere, and the energy in the room
that can significantly influence the birth process.

How pregnancy and birth are experienced is deeply formative – for both mother and child.
These experiences continue to resonate: in the body, the nervous system, bonding, and a woman’s self-image.

Birth support

As a doula, I stand by your side during birth –
emotionally and practically, quietly or actively.

I hold the space for you, believe in you, pay attention to what strengthens you, and am there for whatever arises – without judgment, without pressure.

In practical terms, this means: I am present. I create the atmosphere, light candles, play music. I clean up blood, tidy, cook, and make tea. I massage you, hold your hand – and hold your emotional space.

Or I simply give you exactly the space you need in that moment.

I support you in the hospital or at home.

Postpartum support

The postpartum period is a sacred time.

A phase in which a woman is energetically wide open and arrives with her baby and in her (new) role as a mother.

It is an especially vulnerable time that needs protection, rest, and loving support.

During the postpartum period, I offer you not only contact and emotional holding, but also practical care: through sitz baths, teas, massages, and rituals.

I reflect on and process the birth with you, and provide somatic-emotional support when challenging moments arise.

While you care for your baby, I care for you.

If you feel that you would like this kind of support,
feel free to reach out to me for a free, non-binding introductory call.

Testimonials

During the birth, your presence felt to me exactly as Hannes described it after the first meeting with you: like a fairy 🙂 You were barely noticeable and yet so there, without imposing yourself – just the right amount. Your calm, your breathing with me, your being in the background, while still deeply connected.

Especially valuable was your support in the moments when it became intense – when I doubted or briefly lost trust. With a look, a touch, or a quiet word, you reminded me that everything was exactly right. Even after the birth, your presence was incredibly comforting, because I felt safe and held. I especially appreciated your support in the final phase at the hospital, because you helped me breathe calmly again during the breaks and allowed me to rest for a moment.

During the postpartum period, the abdominal massage and the ritual you built around it did me so much good. When you came, it was ‘my’ time and I was able to recover a little more.
